Eat, drink & small-town stops (Roxbury / Margaretville / Arkville / Fleischmanns): This stretch of the Catskills is all about slow discovery—morning coffee at places like The Print House in nearby Fleischmanns, retro comfort food and live music at Ark Bowl & BBQ, and easy local dinners scattered through Margaretville and Roxbury. Union Grove Distillery is a go-to for a casual drink, while the broader valley is filled with farm stands, bakeries, and no-rush cafés that feel built for lingering rather than planning. Everything is close, but nothing feels crowded.
Explore, hike & experience the valley (surrounding Catskills): You’re 12 minutes from Belleayre Mountain for hiking, gondola rides, and seasonal trails, and within easy reach of some of the region’s most iconic experiences—Kaaterskill Falls for a classic Catskills hike, the Delaware & Ulster Railroad for slow scenic rides through the valley, and Woodstock for galleries, shops, and live music.
