The A-Frame
The A-Frame: Room for Ten, Trails at the Door
Step inside The A-Frame at Dunlap Hollow, a three-bedroom cabin built for groups, with a sunken king bed in the loft, a hot tub for six and private trails starting at the front door.
Designed by owners Bryant & Amy Gingerich, with architectural support from Meredith Higgins and interiors by Renee Byler, and completed in 2021, the cabin has a full kitchen, seating for 10 inside and out, and a wood-burning stove that hangs from the ceiling. Twenty skylights keep it bright on grey days.
Outside, a six-person hot tub, outdoor propane fireplace with lounge couches, grill and fire pit set the scene for long evenings. Private trails start at the door, including a loop through a large recess cave.
Why Locèlle Loves It
Ohio's most wish-listed cabin. Airbnb named The A-Frame the state's most wish-listed cabin for fall 2025.
A stove that hangs from the ceiling. The suspended wood-burner is the first thing guests ask about.
Built by the owners. Bryant & Amy designed it themselves, and now sell the plans to other builders.
Trails from the front door. The Crescent Cave and Cliffside trails pass caves, the cliffline and a creek.
Built for gathering. Sleeps 10 across three bedrooms and a loft with a sunken king.
Close to the classics. Rock House and Cantwell Cliffs are 8–10 minutes away; Hocking Hills State Park, about 15.
Who It’s For
For families and friend groups of up to 10. Three bedrooms plus the loft mean nobody draws the couch, and the grill, fire pit and hot tub keep everyone outside after dark.
Book Direct: Reserve your stay through Locèlle for a fee-free booking experience and a direct connection with the owner.
